ABOUT THE ART HISTORIAN

The music projects of composer Kyra Mitchell consist of ambient musical landscapes and wistful lyrical imagery. She holds a Master of Letters in Arts of Europe and a Master of Business Administration.

Mitchell has three decades of piano experience, beginning with the Greene Music Education Center.  She trained classically for nine years and in jazz & blues for two years. Mitchell sang Alto in choir at her educational & academic institutions and first composed original music in 2002.

​She and then music partner Lauren Gilbert recorded a three-song E.P. in 2007, including the track Take Dives. Her work now includes both self- and co-produced tracks.
